Musical scale is a sequence of tones different in pitch that are played in the specified order one after the other.

There are many types of scales, but basically major and minor are in place. The main difference between the major and minor one is in disposition of two semitones contained therein. The major scale contains semitones between the third and the forth tone and the seventh and the eighth tone, while in minor scale the semitones are placed between the second and the third and the fifth and the sixth tone.

There are figures in place showing every single tone for musical scale that are played on keyboard, while for the scales on the basses the figure showing order and fingering from the key C. Because any scale on the basses is played following the same pattern for every initial key.
